A message to US Congress from Polish Catholic Holocaust Survivor

We publish a message of Stephen Gilbride, the son of Bożenna Urbanowicz-Gilbride, a Polish Catholic Holocaust survivor, to the US Congress. The message was conveyed to the US congressmen during the Polish American Capitol Hill Outreach on March 12, 2018.

Urbanowicz-Gilbride survived Chemnitz, a German Nazi concentration camp whose inmates were used as slave laborers in Third Reich. “Children of Terror”, a film produced at Rider University by Dr. Shawn Kildea and Gina Grosso, portrayed her experience. The film combined the stories of two female survivors of the Holocaust: Inge Auerbacher, a German Jew, who survived the German Nazi concentration camp in Terezin and Bożenna Urbanowicz-Gilbride, Catholic Pole, who survived Chemnitz.
