Attorney Sławomir Platta, founder and president of the Platta Law Firm (New York City) and New York State Senate candidate, is organizing on May 13, 2018 a rally at the Katyń Memorial in Jersey City. Let’s show that we do not accept anti-Polish hatred of Mayor Fulop and we oppose the removal of the Katyń Statue from Exchange Place.
But let’s not forget that Mayor Fulop is only a pawn in the game and his decision to rush headlong into yet another dispute with Polish community might be a provocation. His political backers distract our attention from Act S. 447. Even if there are several stakeholders profiting from the move of the Katyń Statue, like the real-estate firm Mack-Cali or strong lobby groups that deny Polish suffering during the WWII and work hard to remove its symbols from the public space, the claims industry groups would profit most… if we forget S. 447. When faced with provocations such as this, we should not allow ourselves to be provoked.
Let’s meet on Exchange Place in Jersey City next Sunday!
