DEBATE ON S. 447: Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen from Florida doesn’t support Act S. 447

Florida’s Rep. Ros-Lehtinen says during today’s House session that Act S. 447 is only a smoke screen. It offers no justice for Hololcaust survivors. The claims conference organizations failed to fulfill their duties.

Ros-Lehtinen said the bill only required reports, did not go far enough, real action must be taken.  She wanted S. 447 to be debated together with her bill, HR 762, (the “Holocaust Insurance Accountability Act of 2017”) which would give Jews the right to sue life insurance companies in US courts.
